Project overview
The snowshoe hare is one of the keystone species of our Canadian climate. Currently, due to human-induced climate change, this species faces threats to its survival; it can't keep up with the rapid rate of our changing climate, which puts it at an increasing disadvantage when facing predators in our Boreal Forests. This poster seeks to educate the public on the complexities of the evolving problems of winter temperature changes and decreasing snowfall in Canada, and asynchronous moulting in snowshoe hares.
